Curium Solutions – Simplified Change Management, Birmingham, West Midlands

Curium Solutions hires to support continued growth

By Kathryn Hobbs

Curium Solutions is finishing 2017 on a high with the arrival of three new consultants.

Capping a successful year, including winning a Business Masters award and a place in the new Innovation 50, Curium has appointed Mike Howarth, Jennifer Draper and Kathryn Hobbs to support its ongoing development. The change consultancy has also promoted Stuart Bailey to Principal Consultant.

Founding Director Andy Dawson said: “We are really pleased that our message of empowering potential is resonating with businesses looking to achieve sustainable change and improve their performance. This year has been our best yet, with a fantastic team helping some impressive organisations. We’re building on this and are investing for our continued growth and success.”

Principal Consultant Mike Howarth joins Curium from Project One where he was a Delivery Director responsible for key client accounts. With more than 20 years’ experience from in-house and consultancy roles, Mike specialises in shaping and running business transformation programmes, improving internal change capability, and leading complex change.

“I wanted to work with good people and good customers, making a positive difference through effective change delivery, performance improvement and leadership development. Building trust and doing the right thing for customers is what motivates me, and I see those values and behaviours in Curium,” said Mike Howarth.

Operational excellence expert Jennifer Draper is Curium’s newest Business Consultant. Experienced in process improvement, workflow management and project management, Jennifer worked at NFU Mutual before spending two years in Halfords plc’s project delivery team.

Communications and marketing consultant Kathryn Hobbs spent 11 years at international law firm Gowling WLG, leading the firm’s communications and marketing team, before setting up her own consultancy. Her experience includes communications on major change programmes, and developing and delivering content and communication strategies.

Part of the Capability Development team, Stuart Bailey heads up the design and development of Curium’s products and services. A TetraMap Master Facilitator, Stuart runs workshops, events and coaching sessions to enhance team and individual performance, leadership and change capability.

Prior to joining Curium, Stuart spent 19 years at one of the UK’s biggest energy companies. During his time there he led a multi-channel service and sales centre comprising more than 350 people, ran operational excellence, change and culture programmes, and was Head of Quality and Performance coaching.

A busy 2017 has seen Curium expand globally with the launch of its first US office and its exclusive US distribution deal with TetraMap International. The move sees Curium offer its unique mix of capability and delivery solutions to US organisations looking to improve performance and deliver sustainable change.

The change consultancy secured also three high-profile accolades. It won The Business Desk’s Professional Services Business Masters award, was named in Innovation 50 – the first index of the 50 most forward-thinking companies in the Midlands, and was shortlisted in the ‘digital’ category at the City of Birmingham Business Awards.

Formed in 2008, Curium is an independent change consultancy working with household brands across a range of sectors.
