Curium Solutions – Simplified Change Management, Birmingham, West Midlands

Nick Brown

Head of Change Delivery

What you do at Curium?

I joined Curium in May 2011 and am part of the Management team with specific responsibility of heading up the Change Delivery part of the business. I am responsible for defining and delivering Change for clients which covers: Change Capability Enhancement, Process Improvement, Programme/Project Delivery and Organisational Design. Internally I also have responsibility for business development, IP development, relationship management and recruitment.

What you enjoy about working at Curium?

Being part of a growing company with a culture that everyone is encouraged to contribute towards the ongoing development and success of the company. The values of teamship, inspiring others, being commercially aware, evolve your personal best and enjoyment are close to my heart and they are actively supported and encouraged within the company which makes working here a pleasure.  From a client perspective the flexibility of working with such varied clients and seeing the difference you make at the end of a piece of work with them is extremely satisfying.

What are you passionate about outside of work?

Apart from the obvious one of my family I really do love sport with my absolute passion being skiing closely followed by golf (lucky enough to have a wife who shares these passions as well), I’m pretty good at the former but less so the latter; it doesn’t diminish the enjoyment but it does heighten the frustration!!  I really enjoy photography when the time allows and continually strive to get the perfect shot straight from the camera. I’m a huge fan of cooking…..you’ll see a big smile on my face when I’m in the kitchen or over a BBQ and I really enjoy live music, even more so if it is local bands.

What has made you proud in the last year?

Becoming a Dad for the first time and seeing what an amazing Mum my wife, Caroline, is to our daughter Amelie. Knowing we are there to nurture her and watch her grow is so rewarding, it is amazing that the smallest things she does put a huge smile on my face. I’m also quite proud of sticking with the French CD’s and am starting to recognise and understand so many more words….it’s the speaking bit that seriously needs work though.

From a work point of view the continued growth of Curium, the positive feedback we continue to receive from our clients and the company being short-listed as finalists for Birmingham Post’s Small Business of the Year 2016.
