What you do at Curium?

I’m responsible for communicating Curium to the outside world and helping it to build a strong brand. It’s such an exciting time for the business – it’s growing rapidly, attracting great talent, and best of all, has a team packed full of knowledge, experience and enthusiasm.

My job spans all elements of marketing from the traditional stuff, so looking at our target market and planning how we engage them, to PR, social media, content creation, events, networking and plenty more to boot.

What you enjoy about working at Curium?

The enthusiasm and energy from just about everyone who works here and the willingness from people to collaborate and muck-in. Plus, we’re still a young company so there’s a ‘start-up’ feel, which means there’s very much a ‘have-a-go-and-don’t-worry-if-it-doesn’t-work-first-time’ attitude, which I find liberating.

What are you passionate about outside of work?

The usual stuff – spending time with family and friends – plus I’m a bit of an interior design nut, so I can’t get enough of decorating, furniture restoration, antique markets… and IKEA.

What has made you proud in the last year?

2016 has been a big year for me so far – I made the move from London to Brum, bought and renovated our first house and have a baby on the way. Workwise, I’m very proud of what we’ve achieved at Curium in a short space of time, going from ‘unknown’ just six months ago to landing our first big piece of media coverage, being shortlisted as one of the best small businesses in Birmingham and getting noticed by some of the region’s biggest influencers.
