Curium Solutions – Simplified Change Management, Birmingham, West Midlands

Rebecca Oliver

Senior Consultant

What do you do at Curium?

My role as a Senior Consultant will be focused on supporting businesses and individuals through their change journey. I am really eager to use the experience I have gained over the last nine years to help clients achieve their goals.

How do you help people and organisations to change?

By facilitating collaboration and empowering individuals to enable change to happen and stick. Before joining Curium, I worked at the Co-operative Group for nine years in a variety of roles, delivering complex change in retail, particularly retail operations, marketing and communications.

What is a career highlight?

One of my projects was to embed and ensure business compliance with new legislation. I am really proud to say the 18-month cross-function project was a huge success, delivering 100% legislative compliance while protecting sales and our customer’s ability to buy the products they want.

Why Curium?

Like Curium, I am passionate about making change happen by empowering and involving people. I have learnt that some of the key ways to embed change is to listen to individuals, understand their ‘reality’ and create change platforms that make things happen. I feel a real alignment between myself and the values of the team here at Curium.

What do you do when you're not at work?

My family and friends are really important to me, and I love spending quality time with them, whether that’s getting together and having some great food and wine, or relaxing and catching up at home. Even though we don’t get much snow here in the Midlands, skiing is one of my main passions. I love the feeling of flying down a mountain, sometimes in complete control… sometimes not! I also have a gorgeous three-year-old chocolate Labrador called Hugo who I love to walk. My boyfriend and I often go to the Clent Hills, and I give Hugo full credit for making us walk every day. It has made me much fitter!
