Halfway through her notice period, Curium Solutions was appointed to help transform the part of the firm that Scarlet worked in. Curium was asked to help the firm gain control of the high volume of claims they were dealing with: they wanted a simple way of understanding how complex each claim would be and how long each would take to resolve, so they could resource it in the best way.

This was a new way of working, so as well as redesigning their back office, Curium’s priority was to make sure everyone felt engaged, positive and part of the transformation. To help this, Curium coached team managers to get the best out of their teams and, almost overnight, Scarlet started to feel happier. She enjoyed the clarity and focus of the new way of doing things and felt like she was putting her degree skills to good use.

More than that, she loved her new team culture and decided that she didn’t want a career change after all. She retracted her notice and helped the firm to embed and sustain the changes in their back office.
