Curium joined by change and communications specialist
Nicola Phelan, a change and communications specialist, has joined independent change consultancy Curium Solutions as a senior consultant. Nicola’s appointment takes the total number of new consultants at Curium in 2018 to four, following the arrival of principal consultant Chris Watts and senior consultants Robbie Holden and Becky Oliver.
Andy Dawson, Curium Director and Co-founder, said: “It is great to have Nicola in the team. She has a strong change track record, having worked with a variety of corporates and councils on large-scale, complex transformations. We have started the year strongly, with some excellent recruits, new customers and being nominated for four awards.”
Nicola brings 15 years’ experience of successful private and public sector change to Curium. She has previously helped to achieve savings of £11.2m as part of a local authority’s digital transformation and supported the delivery of a financial services global behaviour and culture change programme.
Nicola Phelan said: “Change can feel scary, but it is also an opportunity for people and organisations to enhance their performance. I believe that if you are authentic and true to what you believe in, you will take people on a change journey. Curium approaches transformation in the same way. It is an authentic organisation whose values are very similar to my own.”
As well as recruiting, Curium is making progress in other areas. The change consultancy has been shortlisted for four awards: two categories in each of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce awards (Excellence in People Development and Excellence in Sales and Marketing) and the Business Masters awards (Innovation and Small Business).
Formed in 2008, Curium is an independent change consultancy working with household brands across a range of sectors. It empowers individuals and organisations to achieve their personal and business potential; helping them to turn their strategic priorities into reality through successful transformation.
Curium is the current holder of The Business Desk’s Professional Services Business Masters award. It also features in Innovation 50 – index of the 50 most forward-thinking companies in the Midlands – and was shortlisted in the City of Birmingham Business Awards.
A busy 12 months has seen Curium expand globally with the launch of its first US office and seal an exclusive US distribution deal with TetraMap International.
