Curium Solutions hires three new consultants

Change consultancy Curium Solutions continues its growth story with the addition of three new consultants. Chris Watts, Becky Oliver and Robbie Holden have joined the award-winning business to support its continued development.

Founding Director Andy Dawson said: “We’ve made a strong start to 2018, with some new accounts and new talent. Chris, Becky and Robbie all come from big corporates, bringing practical experience of running complex change programmes. One of the things that sets Curium apart is the hands-on experience we bring to our customers. We’ve all been there!”

Chris Watts has joined Curium as a Principal Consultant from Severn Trent, where he spent 18 months implementing a £3m SAP warehouse management project to transform operational delivery. The project won a Supply Chain Excellence Award in 2017.

Chris has an operational background, having worked in engineering, utilities, manufacturing and IT. He has led change projects and programmes for Siemens, Anglian Water and RM Plc.

Chris Watts said: “I love being involved in change programmes; you get to understand what motivates people, what is important and how you can make a real difference to the business. I can’t wait to get started helping our clients transform their performance.”

Having spent nine years at the Co-operative Group, Becky Oliver is a now a Senior Consultant at Curium. With experience in retail, operations, marketing and communications, Becky has managed projects and programmes to deliver change, including an 18-month project to ensure compliance with a major new piece of legislation.

Becky Oliver said: “I am passionate about making change happen through empowering people. My role as a consultant will be focused on supporting businesses and individuals along their change journeys. I am really eager to use the experience I have gained to help clients achieve their goals.”

Financial services specialist Robbie Holden has joined Curium from Barclays Bank, where he focused on project management and delivery, and process mapping. Robbie held a number of change roles, ranging from running technology-led programmes to major business transformation projects.

Robbie Holden said: “I’m a Senior Consultant in the change delivery side of the business, so will be involved in supporting clients with landing changes in their organisation. What attracted me to Curium is the focus on development and the team culture. Having now joined, it’s great to see that these values really are core to how the business operates.”

Chris Watts, Becky Oliver and Robbie Holden are the latest hires at Curium. Their arrival follows the appointment earlier this year of three consultants: Mike Howarth, Kathryn Hobbs and Jennifer Draper.

Principal consultant Mike Howarth joined Curium from Project One where he was a delivery director responsible for key client accounts. With more than 20 years’ experience from in-house and consultancy roles, Mike specialises in shaping and running complex business transformation programmes, improving internal change capability, and leading change.

Communications and marketing consultant Kathryn Hobbs spent 11 years at international law firm Gowling WLG, leading the firm’s communications and marketing team. Her experience includes external and internal communications on major change programmes, and developing and delivering content, and communication strategies.

Operational excellence expert Jennifer Draper is Curium’s newest business consultant. Experienced in process improvement, workflow management and project management, Jennifer worked at NFU Mutual before spending two years in Halfords plc’s project delivery team.

Formed in 2008, Curium Solutions is an independent change consultancy working with household brands across a range of sectors. It empowers individuals and organisations to achieve their personal and business potential; helping them to turn their strategic priorities into reality through successful transformation.

A busy 2017 saw Curium expand globally with the launch of its first US office and seal an exclusive US distribution deal with TetraMap International. Curium is the current holder of The Business Desk’s Professional Services Business Masters award. It also features in Innovation 50 – the first index of the 50 most forward-thinking companies in the Midlands.
