A more diverse team improves financial performance. Research shows that companies in the top-quartile for gender diversity on executive teams are 21% more likely to outperform on profitability. For those in the top-quartile for ethnic and cultural diversity, the figure rises to 33%.

Despite this data, a new report by Curium Solutions – Empowering inclusive leaders for a diverse world – suggests that organisations are failing to exploit the full leadership potential within their organisations.

According to our study of 700 people from organisations in the telecommunications, retail, leisure and financial services sectors, senior roles are dominated by leaders who prioritise outcomes over more people-focused attributes like collaboration and cohesion.
