Midlands Leadership Awards shortlist is revealed

TheBusinessDesk.com has revealed the shortlist for the first Midlands Leadership Awards. With Curium Solutions as the headline sponsor, these awards celebrate the individuals and organisations demonstrating inprising and effective leadership.

Thirty-five leaders from across the region have been recognised, representing business, professional services, academia, third sector and the police. The winners will be revealed at an awards lunch on Thursday, November 15 at Edgbaston Stadium

“The judging session was, in the very best sense, extremely hard work,” said Alex Turner, joint managing director of TheBusinessDesk.com and chair of the judging panel.

“The volume and quality of the entries was fantastic and showed the strength of leadership we have across the Midlands. That was also a double-edged sword, as it meant a number of really good individuals missed out on being shortlisted.

“We are looking forward to celebrating the importance of leadership and the impact of our shortlisted individuals at the awards lunch next month.”

This award recognises the best leader aged under 35 (on December 1, 2018) for their ability to make a real difference in their organisation by bringing about positive change and inspiring others around them.

The Diversity and Inclusion leader of the year will be the individual who has championed diversity and inclusion, whether inside their organisation or as part of an outside group or initiative, and worked to improve the opportunities for any under-represented group.
